OUR

There are so many amazing ministry opportunities to get involved in at Clinchfield.  No matter what season of life you are in there is truly something for everyone to come and enjoy. We hope you will join us for these awesome ministries.

Children's Ministry -

Children respond more readily to the message of salvation than any other age group. Eighty-five percent of all salvations occur between ages 4 and 14. It is because of this that the shaping of the future church leadership begins during these formative years. If we do not win the children...we lose the future. Our goals are to:

  • Introduce children to Jesus Christ and His purpose and ability to forgive their sin and restore them to a right relationship with God.

  • Disciple and teach children and help them grow in their understanding of and relationship with God. Teach them in fun and exciting ways that will stick with them as they grow.

  • Impact and shape the future of The Church, Our Society, and The World by developing tomorrow's leaders...today

  • Introduce children to missionaries and the excitement and adventure of a life that is dedicated to serving God.

Kids JAM

Our Kids JAM (Jesus and Music) meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30.  This is a fun time of praise and worship where the children get a chance to learn fun new music and how to lift up their voices to praise God.

C.A.R.E.
Christians Actively Reaching Everyone

The C.A.R.E. ministry sees the church
as a people, not a steeple.

This ministry mobilizes every member in the church to use his or her gifts. It helps them see the church as a body of members instead of bricks and mortar. Our Members are like pieces of a puzzle that makes up the picture of who Jesus is to the world. We must strive daily to live a life that demonstrates who Christ is.

The C.A.R.E ministry balances
the Great Commission.

The Great Commission is more than just outreach. It consists of inreach (teaching) and outreach (baptizing). The church cannot reach out and neglect reaching in and it cannot reach in at the expenses of not reaching out.

The C.A.R.E. ministry gives people
opportunities to minister.

C.A.R.E. is ministry sensitive. It is a big step from the pew to an overseas mission trip. C.A.R.E. creates a "baby step" that allows people to experiment with their gifts. The time demand is one hour a month. Being able to keep a commitment and exercising their gift produces fruit!

C.A.R.E. saturates the church and community
with a positive message.

The message of C.A.R.E. is " I wanted to let you know we care." Is there anything I can pray for you about?" This message produces two results. First: a positive reaction. Second: an open door (Colossians 4:2) to share what Jesus means to me and what He can do for them.

Come and join a CARE Team at Clinchfield Baptist Church and let people see you live your life for Jesus by following His Servant Leadership principles.

Youth Ministry

Welcome to the LOFT!

Jr. Youth & Youth today desire unconditional love, acceptance, and lives that have meaning and purpose. It is our desire to see students experience the love of Jesus, and help them walk in all His ways. Our ministry is designed to encourage, challenge, and equip students to make a difference in their world and to LIVE OUT THEIR LIVES IN FAITH AND TRUTH. (L.O.F.T.) Whether it's our Sunday Morning Bible Study, Sunday night Missions group or Wednesday evening Bible Study &  Fellowship time, our goal is to meet students where they are, and help them move towards God's plan for their life.

Women's Ministry

Women's Missionary Union - WMU

Woman's Missionary Union of North Carolina is a mission organization whose purpose is to challenge, prepare and equip Christian believers to be radically involved in the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Women's Missionary union of North Carolina...

  • Our WMU group meets once a month for a time of Bible study and fellowship.  They actively seek ways to meet the needs of those in our community and around the wold.

Music Ministry

Scripture tells us that we need to praise God, whether through voice, instrument, drama, or technical arts. Each Sunday we come together to worship Him. We utilize hymns and popular worship songs to facilitate worship. Our focus is that God would be the audience in our worship services…that our congregation and worship leaders alike would sing to Him. The members of the worship ministry at Clinchfield Baptist Church utilize their skills, talents, and abilities to lead our church body to worship corporately. In turn, we hope that the response to this worship would be that every member of Clinchfield would live a lifestyle of worship, not just in the four walls of the church, but also in each and every stage of our lives…that they would set an example to other people, pointing them to Christ.

We encourage you to get involved with us if you have a heart of worship. Ultimately, every member of CBC is a part of the worship ministry. When you come to worship, you are a part of this ministry.

Christmas in Clinchfield

Christmas in Clinchfield is a ministry established to provide Christmas for families in need in the Clinchfield Community. Applications for assistance will be taken October 24th – November 7th.

We realize how many people are out of work this year, and we hope to share God's love with others by helping with their Christmas.  If you would like to help, you can always make a monetary gift. Just make your check payable to the Clinchfield Baptist Church and mark it for Christmas in Clinchfield. We will take the contributions and purchase toys and clothing items for those in need. With God's help, we will have a successful "Christmas in Clinchfield" this year!

Coats for Kids

Through our coats for kids ministry we are able to help provide children and families with coats.  We collect new and like new coats throughout the year and take them to Eastfield Global Magnet School as the weather begins to turn cooler.  We are thankful to get to be a part in providing warmth to our area children.

Samaritan's Purse

Christmas Gift

We partner with Samaritan's Purse each year as we collect shoeboxes for their Operation Christmas Child.  We collect items throughout the year and in November we begin preparing the boxes to be sent overseas.  We fill the boxes with toys, clothing, school supplies, hygiene items and as much love as we possibly can fit.  Then we send the boxes to a collection center to be prepared for shipment.  Once the boxes are taken into other countries the Gospel is shared with each child who receives a box.

Kid

(Kids in Discipleship)

Our Team KID program meets on Sunday evenings at 6:30.  This is a high energy program that teaches God's Word through Bible lessons, hands on activities, scripture memorization, and fun team building games.  The program is for ages 2-5th grade.  The students also have an opportunity to ear Team KID bucks to spend in our Team KID store.  We would love to have your child join us for this awesome discipleship opportunity.

Supply Pantry

Another way we try to meet our communities physical needs is our supply pantry.  The pantry is available during our office hours.  We collect items such as tooth brushes, tooth paste, soaps, shampoos, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and many other miscellaneous items.  We hope to help meet this need for those in our area who are struggling and these items aren't covered by food stamps.  We are always in need of donations of these items, and they can be dropped off at the church during any normal church office hours.
